Jeremiah was in a dark night of the soul, a very painful time mentally. He had even cursed the day of his birth, asking why could his mother not have been his grave (meaning, why could he not have been stillborn?) 

Instead, he came forth out of the womb, to labour and sorrow, and days that were consumed with shame. Jeremiah was known as the weeping prophet. He grieved over sin, the condition of the people and the judgment of God those sins brought forth. The prophet was misunderstood, mistreated and very lonely.

 

But Adonai is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten.

But, O LORD of hosts, that tries the righteous, and sees the reins and the heart, let me see Your vengeance on them: for to You alone have I opened my cause. 

Sing unto the LORD, praise the LORD: for He has delivered the soul of the poor from the hand of evildoers. [Jer 20:11-13]

Below I write from an old journal, putting here what I am led to put here. This is the last day of a seven-day fast. My heart has been to seek God, as He has patiently been asking all children of light to do (and any else who will listen), to keep in prayer and be obedient to His leading.

It has also been about surrender (wholly), keeping a repentant heart, allowing correction and any thing to be removed from me (whether thought, word or deed) that is not of Him.

For all of us, it remains a work until the day we leave this world, and this corrupted flesh. Yet meanwhile, the Lord began a work in all of us when we were born again, continuing it until the day we pass, or the day Christ returns, whichever comes first.

Taken from one of my numerous journals. This one is older, but I noticed that throughout the years I would make notes or references I go through my books randomly, when and if led. Sometimes they sit for years. Below is from an old journal…

Nov. 7, 2012 – [Lord] >> “Now it begins…” Now – there is a great divide among the people, and anger and rebellion is stirred up as a troubled hornet’s nest.

The West shall be in great pain; they shall be greatly hurt. The backbone of America is broken; it is severely fractured. The days of great woes, great sorrows is coming, but also great blessings that many have waited for.

 

                                         [5 months later]

 

On April 9, 2013, the Lord said (He speak deep within my spirit person): “The strategies and tactics of those who follow Satan (Lucifer) have been employed a long time. The desire for a one-world government and ruler did not expire when the building of the Tower of Babel ended, or with the death of Nimrod.

 

The plans have been carried out covertly. The adversary is patient to a degree now that he knows his time is short. All has escalated. Although some things are happening covertly still, there is less concern about hiding things.

Satan (Lucifer) and demons are proud and have lifted themselves up brazenly. They have been called forth by evil people through rituals, ‘prayers’, and blood sacrifices.

This is a multi-layered, multi-dimensional structure that is being carried out by those on the dark side, both in the physical and in the spiritual realms.

 

[Note: I understood the Lord to mean “unholy” prayers (witches and those in the occult do call them prayers – Lucifer’s counterfeit). I understand multi-layered to mean from the average person to the oligarchs.

There are evil entities in all physical levels: Media, arts and entertainment, judicial, social, business, educational, military, religion. I understand multi-dimensional to cover from physical (flesh and blood), to AI [artificial intelligence], 3-D prints, holograms, teleports, to spiritual realms (remote viewing, occult and demonic).

 

But born-again children of salt and light have Jesus/Y’shua.

Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. [Jn 15:13]

The days are grossly dark and steadily growing darker. All My people see this who are abiding and cleaving to Me. [Note: This was written April 2013, nearly 9 years ago => Mar 5/22]

 

Do not walk in fear and unbelief. Walk by faith and not by sight. [2Cor 5:7] Remember I AM for you and not against.

Do not look around you in terror or dismay. I forewarn My people. I always have. As you abide in Me, I reveal that which is to come. Wait upon Me; trust My timing. Hold fast to your faith. Stay strong in Me [Yeshua/Jesus]

 

Remember your warfare is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual wickedness in high places. [Eph 6:12]

 

Therefore, I urge you to keep on the full armour that I provided, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. [Eph6]

 

I lead one day at a time, one step at a time. My glory is about to fall upon the Body. (of Christ). What must be will be.

I understood that Abba does not mean false prophets, false apostles, false teachers, or any [false ones] who hide behind the large shield of religion. But in God’s eyes, that shield does not cover them. They covet fame, [ill fame = notoriety], admiration, popularity, flattery, prosperity (wealth and riches).

They want the glory, but insist it is all for God, only He sees the heart. It does not matter how many “good deeds” (humanitarian) they do (whether that cause is for people, young to old, or for animals).

 

God alone sees the heart. Even when charming leaders say all the right words, say all the right scriptures, and do all the right things that impress the masses such as giving to worthy causes, if they are doing it for the wrong reasons, it does not impress God or bring Him glory (popularity, followers, possessions, or filthy lucre (though the majority deny having such desires or passions).

Most deny that what they doing any of the above – except Kenneth Copeland, Joyce Meyer, Jesse Duplantis, Oprah Winfrey, TD Jakes, or some other wolf [wolverine]. They do not feel guilty taking money from the poor. They brag that their riches are due to “faith”, being righteous (God’s anointed) and their good works.

 

They may be deceived but not know it. Everyone has a chance to repent and turn from sin as long as they have breath in their mouths, and be forgiven no matter how much wrong they have done (except blasphemy of the precious and Holy Spirit). Yes, all can be forgiven if they repent and turn – but sadly, most of the wolves will not until it is too late.

 

If they seek truth, God will reveal it. It will hurt (coming out of deception – I know, I have been deceived before), but the precious Saviour will forgive the broken and contrite heart, filled with godly sorrow. Then healing and restoration will come, for the sinner’s sake, and for the glory of Almighty God.

 

The lake of fire is real. Let us not be proud, for all of us missed the mark; all of us have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. [Rom 3:23]

 

Healing and restoration are about to occur throughout the Body. Indeed, it has begun. Rebuke fear and unbelief. Fear not. Look up for your redemption draws near.

 

Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God, to whom we send you; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the LORD our God. 

Be not afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom you are afraid; be not afraid of him, says the LORD: for I AM with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand. [Jer 42:6;11]

As F.B. Meyer [English Baptist clergyman (1947-1929) once wrote:

 

“Few have known more sublime truth than Balaam [Mic 6:5], but he loved the wages of unrighteousness, and this eclipsed the divine radiance that became overcast and finally overwhelmed.” (End quote-BP)

 

Also be assured that much of what is going on in the headlines is a distraction from what is going on behind closed doors and within secret meetings. Indeed, you must be aware of all that is going on in the world, within your own neighbourhoods, and within your own households. Be wise as serpents and harmless as doves, for you are amongst wolves …in all the nations].

No obscurity in my way (the Lord had spoken this into my spirit).

[A personal word I received - I share publicly only with hope to help another]

Now you shall speak forth prophetic messages purely, for there are no obscurities in your way. You came under strong delusion because you would not receive the truth, but rather (turned) chased after a lie (an idol).

 

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. [2Thes 2:12]

 

I have written about this before off and on throughout the past couple of decades, and repeat briefly here for one reason and one reason alone. We all can compromise, but we will surely face consequences. Especially if compromise morphs into disobedience, such as what happened to me.

 

Although unsaved, when the Lord came to me at a time I was beaten physically beyond recognition, I made an unwise and costly choice. The Lord revealed to me that the man who beat me up (my boyfriend at the time, but who fled the province after beating me up so badly to avoid charges), was not to be my husband. The Lord was calling me, and what did I do?

 

I did not see it as disobedience or compromise, but it was that – and worse. Idolatry! I said, “O Lord, no!” (Like Paul on the road to Damascus, although unsaved, also recognized Jesus the LORD.)

 

Marriage happened four years after that day, with more breakups in-between and during the years, more abuse, and three beautiful children later. (The first child was born nine months after Jesus told me the woman beater was not to be my husband.) Two were born within the four years of marriage (with separations being nearly half of that 4 year commitment).

Idolatry – choosing a man over God (Jesus), which is worshipping the creation more than the Creator. Idolatry is anyone or anything that we honour and put before God Almighty.

Friend, if this is you, stop. The consequences can be horrific. The last time we separated was when I ended up in the hospital after a night of abuse. I was afraid to return home. He refused to turn the children over to my care (ages 1, 3, 7).

 

During those years, my husband divorced me for another woman. It took seven years in family court before the children were placed in my custody. Then we spent five years in criminal court for what he did to the children while in his care. He went to prison. That was 21 years ago. Consequences.

 

The Lord, in His mercy, did not allow me to be deceived anywhere else except in the area of ‘men’. Why? Because I chose a ‘man’ over him. Remember when Israel chose a ‘king’ over God? Idolatry – putting creation before the Creator. Same idea.

 

Over the course of decades, I tried to find a man who would love me, but it was not to be. Thirty-nine years; the day came when I finally came out of self-deception, the strong delusion the Lord allowed.

 

I had become a Christian after all that. The Lord had allowed me to wallow in waste, in the mire, the stench of sin was overwhelming. I cried out in brokenness and shame, seeing the foolish and wretched woman that I was.

Having been stubbornly blind to the truth, I ultimately repented with understanding godly sorrow and understanding. He forgave me. Jesus is good; His mercy endures forever.

You do not have thirty-nine years. All hell has broken out globally. Look at scripture and align the Word with today’s events. God’s Word is true. Do not allow anyone (saved or unsaved), or anything come before God. There are always consequences, and they are never good.

When the mother of Zebedee’s children asked Jesus (Yeshua) to grant that her two sons could sit one on his right hand, and the other on his left when Jesus came into his kingdom, Yeshua answered:

 You know not what you ask. Are you able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? (And they said to him, We are able.) [Mat 20:21-22]

Then I heard the Holy Spirit whisper deep within me, “Do you remember how you pondered those words, and then slowly, yet naively, you said, “Me too, Lord. I am willing to drink of the same cup of suffering…?”

But just as those men did not know, you too had no idea…no idea what you were saying. In this hour of your suffering, My child, I say to you, Do not grieve over those who gloat victoriously and secretly laugh at you in this dark hour. For what has been done in darkness shall be brought into the light. Remember, how My accusers prided themselves of righteous indignation and laughed at My defeat?

But for the hardness of their hearts, I did not seek revenge. Instead, I looked up to the heavens and with the little strength I had left, cried out: Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do…

As my blood poured out upon the hard ground, I gasped, “It is finished.” In utter brokenness and bearing the shame My accusers put upon Me, I breathed My last breath.

But the laughter ceased when on the third day, I rose up in victory. And now, My child, hear Me and believe this:

Though you are surrounded in complete darkness and those who hate you without just cause, secretly gloat at your defeat, I say to you, precious soul that your shame shall be no more. Even though you lie in utter brokenness now as one who is dead, hold fast to your faith, for the day approaches that you too shall rise up again in victory.

You have not allowed bitterness to take root in your heart, My child. You have not sought revenge. Instead, you sought forgiveness, for them – for yourself.

That is what the cross, the shedding of the blood, and My resurrection are all about.

Yeshua/Jesus has risen.

What does the Lord require of you, but to do justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly before your God. [Micah 6:8]

Which also said, You men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall come again in the same manner that you have seen Him go into heaven. [Acts 1:11]

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 

 

And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.  [Mat 24:30-31]

 

Folks, the signs are all around us…time is short. Keep a repentant heart; walk in love, but stand in and for truth. 

Saints, this world is not our home… Hallelujah - it is almost time!

Discern the Hour

(NOTE: Updated April 3, 2026 - I was asked the meaning of something today, so I have added a few paragraphs explaining the best I can about [Jezebel's] "lying prophetesses". Scroll down to the "violence - hearts waxing cold" picture - BP)

For whom the Lord loves He corrects, and disciplines those in whom He delights. [Heb 12:6] NLT

It is time. Now that I have corrected you and you received it, it is [also now] the time to rise up for I have given you strength. I have reached out My hand and pulled you up spiritually. You are no victim of Satan. You are a well-trained warrior. All My warriors go through intense training, hardships and testing that is double compared to others.[Is 40:2] The harder the training, the higher the purpose.

I AM the Lord of the battle, and I have sent forth holy angels to guard you and to keep you. They obey My commands. These are those who chose to remain when Satan rebelled. I AM the Lord of all creation.

My people have been travailing; many weeping over the condition of the world, the abundance of evil, and sins. Many have cried out for forgiveness, having repented with godly sorrow, as they continue their walk of faith with a ready and repentant heart. Multitudes have cried out for help to become all that I intended for them to be.

Forgive the Greatest Hurts

Forgiveness is something few offer when the offense has been most painful. To forgive is not always easy, but it is necessary. Yet Stephen the martyr forgave with his dying breath. He understood the Messiah's words upon the cross and he echoed them..."Father, forgive them."

Who has done you the most hurt? Will you forgive? 

For if you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if you refuse to forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your sins.  [Mat 6:14-15] NLT

The genuine believers have interceded faithfully, standing in the gap for multitudes. The prayers for the persecuted have been heart-felt and earnest. The days are here where persecution will increase globally. So it is written, so it shall be.

The weeping has been mingled with moaning and groaning for the lost, the prodigals, the deceived, for loved ones, for government leaders as well as for others in high places of influence and power.

My people pick up their cross daily, repenting when the flesh is weak and rebellious. They continue labouring to daily die to self, striving to overcome. It is a lifelong battle, but the joy comes when each sin is overcome, step by step, stumble, fall, arise…press on.  

The godly [righteous] may trip (fall) seven times, but they will get up [arise] again. But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked. [Prov 24:16]

They continue to rely on Me for strength in their weaknesses. We are one, I in them, and they in Me. These are My people.

[NOTE: This next part is a message from 2019 – 'only' God knows all things--BP]

I warned of a storm coming; it is intensifying. I warned that things are escalating. Great is the evil and wickedness of these days. It is indeed as in the days of Noah, and of Sodom, and of Gomorrah.

Violence is global. Hearts are waxing cold and desensitized. The gift of life is taken by evil ones without thought. Abominations are accepted under the false banner of love.

The spirit of Jezebel has seduced the masses and they embrace her false prophets (of Ba’al) with open arms. They listen to her lying prophetesses and false teachers spewing forth doctrines of demons. Blasphemies and heresies against Me are accepted, even encouraged. There is no fear of God amongst the multitudes.

[NOTE: Someone asked about this, so this is what I understand. [Jezebel] 
"her lying prophetesses": 

It is understood that these are those who call themselves 'prophetesses'. Although with the aid of the internet, and to prove they are NOT false, these people will say, "I don't call myself a prophet", but if you listen carefully, in their testimony or in one of their 'teachings'. they do believe they are called to the "office of a prophet (prophetess) of God. Either that or something happened when they were young or unsaved that caused them to realize God had chosen them. 

Please understand - I am not discrediting true ones with such a history, but the false ones, the infiltrators: those with failed prophecies and false teaching (even if it's only partially false because remember, it has to contain truth or else few  would listen. That is what is so heart-breaking about deception.

It brings confusion; it is destructive. Unless one is grounded in the Word, or filled with the Holy Spirit and following His lead, they can be deceived. I have been deceived in my life, and sadly, I did not know I was until Jesus delivered me. It is when one comes out of the deception that then the blind eyes see and the deaf ears hear!  Praise Jesus.

If we are sinning, it is the main open door for deception, but Satan also goes for the unsaved, or the new converts. He is a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. He comes to steal, kill and destroy, but Christ came to give us abundant life (in and through Him). [Jn 10:10]

However, their doctrine is either completely false or a mixture. There is enough truth in these teachings to seduce the people, but lies are mixed in. (It is like rat poison: 98% good food and 2% poison, and it is the little bit, the 2% that kills). People, for the most part, love truth and it is because of the 'truth' that these types, these false ones are convincing. 

Truth attracts, but it is the crafty, subtle manipulation or twisting of the doctrine that deceives people. It is the same seducing spirit that caused Eve to doubt and fall into temptation, being deceived.

Many lean towards [1] prosperity (charismatic/evangelical), OR [2] prosperity/Word of Faith [<=most popular today]-very political/ NAR mixture, OR  3] New Age / occult - these are main ones, but there are others.

But the self-proclaimed prophetesses (note that in the Bible, Jezebel did not call herself a prophetess in a strict sense) today are compared to Jezebel for a few reasons (see book of Revelation) 

The biblical Jezebel promoted foreign 'gods' [Ba'al and Asherah] and used her high place in society (position) to promote false prophets. We see many 'prophetesses' placed in the "high places" in the Christian arena today, often promoting (other) mostly male, false prophets. They are countless.

Many have hundreds, if not thousands, of followers who snap at anyone who says anything negative against their "prophet" or "teacher" (such as mentioning failed prophesies, or how in just a few years they became millionaires, or false doctrine thrown in). Yet, people INSIST they are not into idolatry, but they must get their 'daily dose' of prophecy.

I remember when the holy Spirit spoke deep within me stating that many have replaced daily horoscopes with a "daily prophetic word". This grieves the Lord when people seek out the "prophets" or "prophetic" to know what is going on, rather than seeking God. If we are not bowing before a statue, we do not see "idolatry" in its many forms - anything that comes before God. 

The typical line from the prophets (who do not 'claim' to be prophets), as well as their followers is "touch not God's anointed and do their prophets no harm". That is taken out of context because it is clearly speaking about Israel (the nation) and the patriarchs, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. 

The people in other nations, and other kingdoms had a warning. Adonai reproved kings, and wanted no man to do His people harm. It was for then. Israel had many prophets, including Abraham, who were anointed. [1Chron 16:15-22]

Yet people use it to "protect" either themselves or their idols -- (err, that is the folks they support because they insist they do not have idols), to halt negative speech against them.

Nevertheless:...

The Jezebel spirit is a reality I believe [Rev 2:20], just like Jesus spoke about the spirit of John the Baptist, or the spirit of Elijah. Those mentioned were NOT John the Baptist or Elijah because there is no such thing as reincarnation in Christianity, but what is mentioned is that they are a "type" or "shadow" of the original.

It is possible that at the time John wrote Revelation that another "Jezebel" was around, but I tend to think it is a "type" of Jezebel (same evil spirit). The original taught people things, and murdered prophets. She was wicked, even having a godly man, Naboth, killed for his vineyard to satisfy Ahab's covetousness. 

However, unlike the original, there are those who infiltrate the church, and call themselves "prophetess" (only it is mostly in an underhanded way as opposed to flat out announcing it). There are countless false prophets and teachers who are worshipped by hundreds, some even thousands, EVEN IF they have had several failed prophecies or teach false doctrines, some even teaching heresy (Rev. 2:20).

There are many today who have scrubbed old videos with false prophecies (thank God for the people who downloaded the originals) and doctored old articles. Many have have two, three or more websites, not to mention being on nearly every available social media platform. 

People will be directed to the site that has the 'corrected' articles or scrubbed videos. They have 'staff' or a 'team' that helps. People have caught this action and proved it by posting older stuff. I do believe the part about "Jezebel has her lying prophetesses" to be speaking specifically about the charismatic, popular, prophetic types, who branch off into teaching. Failed prophecies and doctrines with error, and some that are doctrines of demons, as it is written (foretold). 

Idolatry (seducing spirits in the churches), fornication (seducing spirits; unclean spirits) and eating food offered to false gods (unclean spirits; foul spirits) is happening today, and it is not just in the Hindu religion, or Moon cult religions. End note BP]

Idolatry

Idols (false gods and goddesses) are worshipped and cults are welcomed. Witchcraft is exalted, embraced, and glorified around the world. These are indeed the days where good is called evil and evil is called good.  Moral decline is now out of control as laws are changed to appease the people. Satan has deceived the entire world, but those who seek Me, abiding, will hear My instructions and will have the discernment required to avoid deception.

Dangerous days! Dark days! Many cry out, “Why Lord, why do You allow this?” “How long will You stand afar off, doing nothing Jesus (Yeshua)?” “When, Lord, when? My timing is not as mankind’s, for I AM the Creator of it; therefore, I AM not contained by or in it.

The prophets of old forewarned of these days. I answered the question of the apostles who asked what would be the sign of the end times and the sign of My return. [Matthew 24] Although much is not understood about how this will all pan out, be at peace knowing that I AM fully aware and fully in control.

Evil has its day of rejoicing [Rev 12:12], but the time comes when it will no longer be so. Indeed, I have spoken to many about the earth splitting open violently (earthquakes) in different places. Warnings of great waters covering the lands, bringing death and destruction, have also been trumpeted.

Those which have occurred are nothing compared to that which is coming (fast approaching). Pray for those in Washington and New York. Woe to those on coastal lands. Woe to those in Damascus and Gaza. Woe to My people in the land of Israel who are preparing to welcome the false Messiah. Pray for Israel. Pray for one another. Pray for your own country and all that I place upon your heart by My Spirit.

Do you hear the thunderous sound of troops marching? Do you hear the sound of the trumpet? Fast and pray in these tumultuous, violent days.

(Note: I understand there are many different kinds of fasts. The Bible shows a few, but it is between the individual and the Lord. People want to fast something that has nothing to do with diet, but fasting (scripturally) always has to do with diet.

Read the scriptures if you doubt it. Whether you give up sweets, meats, and wine like Daniel, or do like Jesus [no food], allow the Lord, through His Holy Spirit to guide you individually. Medical conditions, physical abilities; there are factors to consider. It should always be between an individual and the Lord.  

Keep in mind that this next ‘part’ of the message was March 25, 2019 – six years ago almost to the day. As one can see, part has come to pass. This messenger is just that – the bringer of a message. ONLY Yahweh, through Christ Jesus, knows all things, not me – End note BP)     

Seek Me while there is yet peace in your land, for the time comes when the focus shall shift to the horrors of the West, as well as the Middle East.

Pray for those in dangerous lands. Pray for one another, particularly the lost and the prodigals. Time is of the essence. Search My Word and see that it is true.

You did not choose Me, it is I who chose you. Before the foundation of the earth, I knew all things. Before you were in the womb, I knew you. I called you forth and ordained My plan for you.  All is in My competent hands, for I love My creation.

All who are Mine are awakening and have awakened. Those who are awake have heard My voice. I have tried and am trying the hearts. Rise up. Stand strong, fully armoured and prepared. Wait upon Me.  Be sober. Be vigilant for your adversary, as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.

When Satan stood before Me challenging Job’s faith, integrity and his uprightness, Satan declared that he had just come from walking to and fro, and up and down upon the earth. Satan comes not but to steal, and to kill, and to destroy, but I have come to give life, and that more abundant.

Rise up. Prepare. All is coming into alignment. Those who worship the dark side have tampered with opening portals and vortexes as they spiritually knock upon the door of the demonic kingdom, in order to receive guidance (divination) from the demonic realm (Satan’s kingdom). Satan counterfeits. As I instruct people to seek Me, Satan tells people to come to him.  He brings the python spirit, a spirit of divination. Greater am I in My people, than Satan who is in the world. Again I say, I did not give you a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.    

It is now. The positioning is perfect, steps shall be ordered by Me through My Spirit and My Word. Each one is important and necessary –all is honorable.  You have learned (and still duly practice) to walk by faith and not by sight.

How difficult it is not to base faith on the circumstances during the severe trials, but you have risen to the level of counting on My strength, not yours; to overcome – to not look upon the raging seas, the forceful winds, or the stinging waters, but to look to Me.

Coming to Me, leaning on My strength, there is safety. When I speak, the calm returns, the peace that passes all understanding, the peace that the world cannot give.

Be patient just a little longer. Discern the hour.

[Note:* Updated Dec 14, 2025: Added more info about pastor Zac Poonen, a man I already respect. My memory was jolted watching a video recently. I also recalled a few videos of his that I watched in the long-ago past. I do remember his sincerity (and the way he shot straight from the hip). 

I recall him as a likeable and good teacher. However, not being committed (let alone surrendered to Jesus/Yeshua), I was easily distracted by other things and different teachers (some being false or worse), yet it also included being distracted from other true ones anointed by God as well].

The part about 'respect' will explain itself as I present the means by which this humble man has always lovingly supported himself and his beloved family, and what he is satisfied to take as work and wages. More of his personal info (wife and family) is added.

I also updated info that was outdated. This preacher sticks to the true gospel of Jesus Christ [Yeshua Mashiach]. Zac Poonen acts without exploit or coercion. You will not witness deception, manipulation of the gospel or scriptures taken out of context. 

You will not hear false prophecies such as those heard by the certain false prophets within NAR,  the prosperity gospel, the New Age and New Thought movements. Nor does not pastor Zac compromise or manipulate scripture for the sake of financial self-gain or popularity, such as the prosperity preachers and the teachers, and false prophets of NAR. 

Instead, if you watch videos of his sermons, or interviews, and Bible studies, or read articles anywhere from mere days or to decades apart, all throughout you will see actions (and hear testimonies), or read words that consistently exalts Christ Jesus (focus is on Him throughout), and reflects integrity and love. You will hear truth and notice his respect for family, friends, congregation, neighbours, and strangers. (End of update) - BP]

There is no rush anymore on my part to try and keep up with others. I used to put unnecessary pressure upon myself with the time it took separating fact from fiction, with research, and with organizing material because when it took too long, the thought was that I was letting the Lord and people down by not keeping up in this digital age. That is why I say, 'unnecessary' pressure.

Also, mainstream media [MSM] not always, but quite often, misleadingly dubs LIES as 'misinformation' and  'disinformation', in order to hide truth, (therefore, separating lies from truth), while at the same time mixing it in with actual 'dis' and 'mis' information. BULL-oney baffles brains!

I temporarily accepted the lie that I had to keep up, or risk disappointing the Lord (and readers). The adversary (Satan) often speaks in the first person, meaning he injects thoughts or sentences into our mind that we are absolutely positive that they are our own thoughts, but it is trickery. The devil is the instigator, whose agenda is to take our minds off of Christ. 

Yes, deception can be that subtle. When we believe anything, even if it is only for a short time, then we were temporarily deceived. No one likes to admit that they fell for something that was not true. Pride is subtle also.

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. [2Cor 10:5]

Thank Jesus for sending the Holy Spirit. It is Him and His leading who I can thank  for getting me back on track. He is worthy of full credit and acknowledgement. How many times over these past almost two decades on this blog (17 years - 2008) have I encouraged brethren that our work together is not a competition, it is team effort? We need each other, and we all need Jesus Christ.

It is working together harmoniously to achieve a goal (namely, to further the kingdom of God) with Jesus/Yeshua's help via the Holy Spirit. In truth, I just came through a bit of a spiritual slump, but praise God with a thankful heart, for good and true friends (who also happen to be brethren). It is worth being held accountable. It really a good thing!

Friends who not only pray, but also take time out of a busy, sometimes hectic schedule to send an encouraging email, with choice scriptures, are a gift from God and a treasure to protect. I love the Word of God.

No matter how many times we may read through the Bible, it is so rich that the right scripture at the right time [when our spirit needs uplifting and strengthening the most], the Word is so perfect in accomplishing its purpose that it truly is the wisdom and foresight of El Shaddai alone.

So shall My Word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. [Is 55:11]

(Just like the timing of God), when coming out of that slump, an email was received with a link that led to a video with a solid teaching of Pastor Zac Poonen. I fully intend to listen to more of his lessons and sermons. I remember now that years ago (perhaps 20?), a friend at that time had sent me a link to a video that first introduced me to Zac Poonen, which, back then, I found most uplifting. 

I did not follow up with brother Zac at that time (and I am convinced he is a brother-in-Christ), as I was not well-settled in the Lord back then. I have believed in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit the majority of my life. 

However, I am now wholly surrendered, and being fully surrendered really makes a big difference. I have moments, naturally, where I have to beat that old flesh back down into submission; we are to daily nail it to the spiritual cross. 

The difference is because the fruit that comes [in time] with full surrender is [spiritual] maturity, increased discernment (which comes from familiarity with the Word, as well as our experiences), but also wisdom that is learned through trials and tribulations. 

If we were church hurt by abusive leaders, or suffered consequences due to false doctrines, we gain a stronger and deeper appreciation of good, solid teachers. 

Wisdom and the Holy Spirit help us to give up our 'independence' and lean wholly on the Lord like healthy grapes that cling to a healthy branch/vine (Jesus is the Vine). More exposure to wolves in sheep's clothing, false teachers, false prophets, and hypocritical Christians (like hard taskmasters, like the Pharisees), help and train us as well as teach us secure that appreciation. 

When our heart is intent on seeking truth (always starting with Jesus because He IS truth), I believe the Lord protects and guides us by His precious and Holy Spirit. Time is running short, and good teachers have been hard to find. All of us have watched with heavy hearts as the revealing of sin in the churches has been uncovered. Yet it is a good thing; the Lord is cleaning house. 

For the time is come that judgment begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? [1Pet4:17]

I don't think most of us realized the depth of hypocrisy and deception that had crept into the church through false brethren, demons, and other infiltrators until the Lord began revealing that which has been hidden, just as He promised.

Zac is 86 years old, formerly an Indian Naval Officer. He lives in Bangalore, India with his wife of 56 [almost 57] years. According to a quick search, he has been a Christian for 56 years. [Correction: almost 60 years; converted in 1966] 

Zac Poonen and his beloved wife Annie are the parents of four sons, who are now adults with families of their own. Their sons are: Sanjay, Santosh, Sandeep, and Sunil. They are all born-again, Holy Spirit-filled Christians, and so are their wives.

The children and grandchildren are all believers as well. they all follow in the footsteps of Zac and Annie and attend the Christian Fellowship Church. How wonderful when the faith continues on throughout the family down the generations. Glory be to God!

He is apostle over New Covenant Christian Fellowship. Before anyone judges him on 'apostleship', he is not pretending to be as the original twelve who walked with Jesus/Yeshua the Messiah. Nor is he in the role described by prosperity teaching or NAR.

The original twelve (12) that Yeshua chose were presentative of the 12 tribes of Israel, but they were also appointed to train, to be witnesses for Jesus' ministry, and to go out [into all the world] to preach the good news (the gospel of Jesus Christ). They were to deliver possessed and oppressed people from demons, heal the sick, and for salvation (to bring them into the kingdom of God through faith in Jesus the Christ/Yeshua the Messiah).

Zac Poonen (from his biography) began serving the Lord (as stated, nearly 60 years ago), after he finished serving as an Indian Naval Officer. He is responsible for numerous churches globally. He is the preacher, as well as one of the elders [from a plurality] at the New Covenant Christian Fellowship in Bangalore. 

He has written several articles extensively, and is also the author of 25 books, all of which are written not only in Indian, but  also in English and other foreign languages. 

He has not received royalties from any of his books that are published by Christian Fellowship Centre. All of Zac Poonen's materials [sermons and interviews] are available freely on YouTube and at https://cfcindia.com .ALL of his written work is available not only at the website (link) but at other various outlets, all of which is distributed at no charge.

Brother Poonen is a tentmaker by trade [just like the apostle Paul] He takes no salary for his services. As an elder Zac accepts no remuneration whatsoever for his work, and neither do any of the other elders at the church. 

and because he [Aquila] was of the same craft, he abode with them, and worked: for by their occupation they were tentmakers. [Acts 18:4]

This is what I was referring to when I said Zac has my utmost respect. I marvel at the fact that he takes no money for ministering as a preacher, and takes no royalties from his books, when countless others are monetizing everything they do online these days. What Zac Poonen does is a rarity.

I am very grateful to the Holy Spirit who promises to set us on the path that leads us to solid teachers, who glorify Jesus/Yeshua, and exalt El Shaddai (Adonai) on high. At the same time, He will lead us to the place where we will discern, and learn to discern, the false ones. 

We know the Lord will give those who have gone astray an opportunity to repent and turn back to Him. He keeps a watchful eye. He knows the heart. People can deceive others; and sadly, sometimes we can deceive ourselves, but that is usually if we are trying to burn both ends of a candle (compromise). 

We may fool others, but we cannot fool God! Let me be perfectly clear here. I most certainly would never put anyone on a pedestal and cause them to undergo the undeserved humiliation of being some kind of idol. 

I will not fall into the trap of idolatry again (there was a time shamefully I did). Thank God for opening my eyes to my sin, but even more so, for the opportunity to repent, and for forgiveness. It was long ago, but sin is sin.

Neither would I put brother Zac Poonen under the pressure of living up to some kind of ridiculous manmade 'high standard'. No one, no teacher, no pastor--no one person is perfect, andto  but we allow ourselves to be taught SOLID doctrine, not doctrine of demons, or lukewarm, whitewashed gospel messages.

Then, we share -- we share to help a brother, a sister - and glorify our King, our Jesus. Before I move on to the quick message I plan to post, I would like to share a couple of nuggets, courtesy of preacher Zac. Allow Jesus to providentially answer your prayers. He will. 

First Nugget

God's Word is a real treasure
purified gold

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace. [Rom 6:14]

Brother Poonen said it took him 56 years of struggling as a Christian before he discovered a simple secret. And that's just it. If we can just allow ourselves to be taught by others, instead of thinking we have to have all the answers, this walk can be so much easier. Pride can be so subtle.

Zac said that for most of his Christian walk he carried a heavy burden. To cut to the quick and to put it simply, he read the above scripture as a command rather than a promise.

Here is the difference, as he explained it. [I hope I can do it justice; he explained it so eloquently] Brother Poonen said that most often we tend to depend more upon our flesh more than on the Holy Spirit. 

Sin "should not be" master over you - is how most of us read the above scripture. Zac admitted that that is how he himself read it all those times, for all those years. It was a verse Zac struggled with because "should not be master" caused him to put it in the perspective of a "command". 

Bro Zac continues: "But when we read it as "sin shall not be" master over you - it is a promise - a promise of God!"  "Do you see the difference?" he asked. Lightbulbs turned on in my head too, but for a different reason. I will explain shortly. 

When the scripture [Rom 6:14] is read as a 'command', it is a heavy burden one must carry. It is something that we, as a person, have to do. That was the point that Bro Poonen was emphasizing.

However, when we receive it as a promise, it is something that God says HE will do for us. It is saying that God is not abandoning His sheep to any hardship the scripture (or the devil) may put on us through misunderstanding. He removes the burden. Grace, it is the grace of God when it goes from a command to a promise.

Now I will explain. (This is part of the update added to this article because I did not think of it originally, but I thought it should be included.) It was understood how Zac Poonen's interpreted the verse, and the lesson he gleaned from it through the power of the Holy Spirit.

It was then that his sharing the scripture with others struck me as wisdom and motivated me to further share his keen insight here, in case someone else was struck with the same problem, which can very likely happen indeed.

We are not under the LAW; we are under grace. Zac says the meaning of 'law' means that we are going to try and overcome sin by our own struggle...a never-ending, wearisome struggle (heavy laden).

A heavy burden lifted in the light of differentiating between a 'command' and a 'promise'; the law versus grace. Jesus did indeed set us free, on so many levels. Praise be to God!

Whether it is in the translation, I do not know because the KJV (King James Version) Bible is written in old English, which may be the reason it caused Brother Poonen to understand the scripture as he did. I personally did not struggle with the verse that way, but that is likely because English is my first language.

If others struggle, then his explanation would be wonderfully helpful. For that reason, I chose to publish it here. even if it can set even one soul free, then, mission accomplished, all to the glory of God, and thanks to Zac Poonen.

Come unto Me, all who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. [Mat 11:28]

Just as Jesus/Yeshua promised. He gives us rest. One thing we gained in the Garden of Eden (along with a fallen nature) is our "independence". We can do it, we say!

We do not need someone else when we can manage something just fine on our own. Right? Or can we? If God pulls the rug out from under us (pulls the carpet of pride we float around on, high above everything else like some kind of a magic carpet, over the heads of people below us...oh, oh!) 

Pull that rug out from under us and see how independent we are. lol (I jest, but it is not always funny  which I can attest to that as well.)

But we are under GRACE; then 'grace' is going to help us overcome sin. That does not mean we compromise or slip in and out of sin at will (greasy grace). God forbid! 

He says, so if you are weary and heavy laden (sick and tired of being defeated and wondering why), the Lord invites us to come to Him. This teacher, Zac Poonen explains it splendidly. Hopefully that helps someone else if they are struggling the way it helped him.

The pastor stated that he had discovered throughout the years that there are only a certain category of people who really enter into the Spirit-filled life of overcoming. And not only overcoming, but empowerment for service. He insisted that it is open to everyone, to all of us, but not everyone enters in.

He said most Christians never enter into it, even before they die, which saddened him. It is an hour long video, which I have not watched in full. Nevertheless, if you would like to hear him explain how to lessen this struggle, he speaks far more eloquently than I do. Be a Zero 

One other quick nugget, from the same teacher (Zac Poonen). It has to do with being nothing. Sounds depressing, hey? lol 

He made a list of things important to people, things high up in life to them. They are: 

wealth,[0] beauty,[0] position,[0] personality,[0] education,[0] sports,[0] intellect[0] 

Whatever you strive for, whatever is important to you, people put great value on those things, some material, and other things being what they are strong in. Many believe they are the most qualified and desire to lead.

This going to be the Reader's Digest [condensed] version.

Bro Zac said, "No! We need to become zeros."

He reminds us that a zero is nothing. It is absolutely of no value. No matter how many you put together, no matter how strong it looks when they are all huddled together, a whole group of zeroes is still that - zero.

They are of no value or worth UNLESS something GREATER than a zero is put in front of it. Only when something greater is placed BEFORE the zero, or comes FIRST, only then does the zero have value. 

Therefore we have to become zeroes, and something GREATER than us has to come FIRST. Jesus has to be first. The whole bunch of us zeroes becomes something of exponential value and worth when Jesus is placed BEFORE us!

When we become zeros, and put Christ Jesus (Messiah Yeshua) first, then we have value; our worth increases. Without Him, we can do nothing [nothing of eternal worth and value]. With Him, we are valuable, refined as silver is refined, and purified as gold is purified.

I am the vine, you are the branches: He that abides in Me, and I in Him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without Me, you can do nothing. [Jn 15:5]

I thought that was another nugget of gold from brother Zac Poonen and wanted to share it with people.

I Beckon You
