Miracles Still Happen

Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?  [Heb 1:14] KJV

Sometimes we need to stop and take a deep breath, and look around. We will see Yahweh. His presence is everywhere; it is all around us. Perhaps the Red Sea is not parting today, it already parted victoriously. Perhaps great thick walls like those in Jericho are not falling down; they already fell victoriously.

And that night that the angel of the Lord went out and struck down 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians. And when people arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies. [2Kings19:35] ESV

185,000 Assyrians were killed

Yahweh is omniscient [all-knowing] indeed. His providence and sovereignty are acknowledged by all Christians, but how the good Lord executes His sovereign will is out of the scope of my finite mind.

Does anyone truly have 100% understanding and enough deep intimate knowledge of God to answer how He exercises His power, and how it intertwines and rules our ‘free will’?

I know that You can do everything, and that no thought can be withheld from You. [Job 42:2] KJV

I am quite satisfied and comfortable letting God be God. In a time such as these days are, when things seem helter-skelter, it is good to practice the discipline of reading the Word of God to strengthen our faith (for we know that faith comes by hearing the Word of God [Rom 10:17])

It is also a good idea to read good reports that reveal the power of God, as they will make your hope soar like an eagle. Both will re-enforce our courage and give us the “oomph” to endure to the end - particularly in reading the Word. It is food (Bread) and drink (living Water) for our spirit.

And Jesus said to them, I AM the bread of life: he that comes to Me shall never hunger; and he that believes on Me shall never thirst.  [Jn 6:35]

He that believes on Me, as the scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. [Jn 7:38] (Emphasis in verses mine)

It not only keeps us grounded and balanced, it is one of the ways that the Good Shepherd speaks to us. The Lord's ways are marvellous.

It seemed like a good time to lift the hopes and the spirits of readers because we all could use it, and you deserve it. Christians rejoice when we hear of a miracle, or are blessed enough to witness one.

A close friend of mine, Donna L. [Virginia] who also happens to be a beloved sister in Christ has a young son in his 30s, who is definitely under God’s watchful eye. She has graciously granted me permission to share the following. It is 100% proof that God is indeed sending forth His Word to manifest a miracle. The holy angels are at His command. [Psalm 91]

Miracles did not stop when Jesus/Yeshua ascended into heaven. They happen regularly in a world where over eight billion souls are looking for answers, but it is a rare thing for MSM (mainstream media) to brighten our day with rays of hope.

[NOTE: Updated Dec 14, 2025: Editing; removed some doubly-entered info. Also corrected jumbled sentences, as well as corrected info about Michael's work. I had stated that Michael is a trucker, but that was incorrect.

Michael is a high-voltage lineman, which is a skilled trade position. He works high up on poles and towers, but also underground. I searched online to get an accurate job description. These skilled technicians work with dangerous high-voltage electricity, using "specialized equipment and rigorous training for safety.

They install/erect poles and towers, construct and maintain, inspect, test, and fix lines, transformers, switches, insulators, and streetlights, ensuring power reliability.  Michael often works on high poles where he either has to climb the pole or use a hydraulic lift (bucket).

You will see one in the pictures below. When violent storms knock out power lines, or cause disruptions in necessary and vital services, qualified linemen like Michael are called in on an emergency basis. These workers are often under pressure to restore power quickly.

Many times he is called in when storms are still raging, or the storm has barely ended and road conditions are considered dangerous, and extreme caution is advised. Black ice is often difficult to see, if at all. [End update-BP]

It was such a time as that when Michael received an urgent call to repair damage and restore power. No one knew that on that particular day God already had a plan. Michael was about to find out that miracles still happen!

It was on a biting cold December day in New York, Michael faced one of those days where snow and ice were challenging all of his driving skills. Everything happened quickly. He was focusing on the work he had to do ahead of him, when suddenly the truck he was driving seemed to have a mind of its own.

Once the tires hit a slippery section, Michael was unable to regain control. He slid into a culvert and flipped the truck on its side. The broken glass and mangled steel came to rest along the side of the road.

Below are the pictures.

As incredible as it is, Michael walked away from that accident without so much as a scratch. The truck did not get off so easy. Unfortunately, the truck was totalled - a complete write-off.
Another miraculous thing is that no other vehicles were involved. No one else was hurt in the accident. My friend was very grateful that her son was alright.

She immediately saw it as the providence of God and gave glory to Jesus. When she told me about it and sent the pictures, I concurred. To God be all the glory, with thanksgiving!

May this encourage you, knowing that God is still assigning and dispatching His angels today. He sent one out to take care of 185,000 Assyrians, and He sent one out for Michael (that was a big truck).

Double Trouble

I hesitated about adding this part for two reasons.

[1] Christmas is a controversial subject for many Christians. Like so many things these days, there is a division over it. Some believe it celebrates Jesus and is opportunity to witness and others see it as pagan brought in by Constantine...and pushed by Vatican.

But in these days of constant bad reports, my heart was to make readers smile...even just for a few moments.

[2] I am in the camp that does not celebrate it due to original pagan roots, when Constantine mixed pagan beliefs with Christianity. Is this compromise? If it is, I will make a public apology and repent, but in truth, at this time, I do not see this make-believe for children as sin.

Please write or comment and let me know.

This activity was not around when my children were young, but what is trending with the young children these days apparently, at Christmas time is the appearance of Santa's elves at nighttime when everyone is asleep.

As stated, I do not celebrate Christmas (well, I give a gift if I can...but this year I cannot afford it.) I am glad. I have to stick with what I believe. Many people say that it is the only time they can get together with family or friends because most work places shut on Christmas.

I have to search more. There are several factors that convinced me back in 2005 about Christmas. All my friends celebrated it. Most people say the verse below does NOT speak about a Christmas tree. Okay, perhaps not, but it sure sounds eerily close to the wrong kind of celebration.

For the customs of the people are vain: for one cuts a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it moves not.

Forasmuch as there is none like unto You O LORD; You are great, and Your name is great in might. [Jer10:3-4;6]

There are 364 other days to give gifts, and that is what I say. I celebrate Jesus every day - a gift can be given any day. That is my outlook.

To me, the greatest day to celebrate is the day we are born again...all because of what Jesus did. I will leave it there for now. I do not have the answers I need yet. The fact that the WORLD celebrates it gives me pause. The 'world' does not celebrate Jesus or anything about Him. Selah

Shared Home

Meanwhile, my son and eldest daughter and I all share a house. My son has an eight-year-old boy, and they (along with my daughter) all celebrate  Christmas.. When my children were young, I was not committed to the Lord, let alone surrendered, and I did celebrate Christmas back then.

My 34-year-old son shares access, so his son is not here full-time, but he is here every weekend, and special holidays are shared. There are a couple of cute things my son did with the elves which I am going to share here, just to make you smile.

I am unsure when the "elves" became popular. I have been told that the elves do not talk when you see them; they stay in a stationary position. Two of these mischievous deeds the elves (my son) carried out were really done to make his older sister and me laugh, which it did.

The two I am going to show here were not seen by my eight-year-old grandson. He is too young and it is not appropriate for a child. My son put them up to make us laugh, then put them away before his son returned on the weekend.

So, here goes.

Coming Up

The next post shows convincing evidence that the memorial speech of Erika Kirk, including mannerisms, tone, just…everything, was scripted. And it would appear that her interview with Faux (err Fox) News interviewer Harris Faulkner included a teleprompter, unless someone else can explain what is very evident.

I take no delight in this. As anyone can see by scrolling my archive list, I have not been in any hurry, or posting feverishly to put any conspiratorial, or any negative articles out. However, when anyone uses the name of Jesus to promote an agenda, when the people, particularly the youth who deserve truth and hope and honesty (actually we all do) are being exploited and deceived, then I fight for the truth.

Our youth are wise in the ways of technology, having been raised on it, but there is still a vulnerability and innocence in youth that an older person can manipulate and take advantage of. That infuriates me to no end because that is the devil's work (Satan).

Yahweh has had enough. He has been preparing His people. The wait has nearly done us all in, but instead, we have been getting stronger, learning to endure, and more - much more. It has not been easy, but it is worth it for the kingdom.

We forge forward with Jesus our Messiah leading through the power of the Holy Spirit!

Much prayer, many tears and long days of waiting have gone into this because as stated, I take no pleasure in the condition this corrupted world is in or in deceiving people. There has been emotional manipulation going on as well.

King David and Bathsheba, Judas, Jezebel, Samson and Delilah, Balaam…these were some of the people brought up in past articles…some after fasting.  Judas goes as far back as June or July the Lord warned. I have to check the archives but one article mentions “Season of Judas”.

Egypt and it showing up ‘highlighted’ when I was reading the Word of God, Gaza, again. Let me make on thing perfectly clear. There is much antisemitism happening these days, actually ever since shortly after the horrific massacre, kidnapping, and torture carried on in the war of Hamas in 2023. There is not ONE nation that is sinless today, not one.

Yes, Israel is like the rest of us…steeped in sin, but the hatred for it right now is off the charts. I do believe there are some things going on in Israel that has stirred the wrath of God. But before you point a gnarly finger, best look inside our own countries.

But there is something suspicious about the evidence that has been presented. The mixture is to cause confusion. There are those pushing FOR Israel more than they ought right now (never interfere with God’s judgment; it won’t work), and the flip side is about those pushing AGAINST Israel with a hatred that has Satan’s signature all over it.

These are things I’ve been working on tirelessly, along with prayer…along with CONSTANT distractions, interruptions and hindrances. Good and bad are fast approaching (yes, I know they are already here, but I speak of miracles, as well as fearful times).

Stay close (abiding) in Jesus (like healthy grapes on a strong vine). Follow the leading of the Holy Spirit with the Word of God. Keep that sword of yours sharpened, warrior. I have been discipling myself this way too, with the help of precious Jesus.

So much happening…but FIRST, I want to stay balanced by keeping Jesus/Yeshua first. And second, I only want truth to go forth, not drama, not sensationalism or emotionalism. Stay away from the “isms’, my friends. Shalom in Christ.

the one below would not load properly. After four attempts, I decided here was good enough. The grandson left the elf hot chocolate. The elf made some for the grandson and could not understand why the chocolate was so 'gross'.

(Because it was gravy mix...) Smile awhile!

In Honour and Loving Memory of Bo Barton

             Bereather [Bo] Barton (1953 – 2015)

My beautiful friend and sister in Christ, Bereather [Bo] Barton
Today I found out that my dear friend of nearly ten years and sister in Christ, Bo (short for Bereather) passed away.  She had often said that she did not want to die alone and that she wanted to die in her sleep. The Lord heard her prayers and answered faithfully.

With her beloved husband by her side in the hospital, Bo slipped peacefully into eternity on Saturday, March 7, 2015.  She was a humble woman of God and a true prayer warrior.

I met Bo and her husband online in a Christian chat room almost ten (10) years ago.  Several months later, we exchanged phone numbers and kept in touch, praying for each other and becoming good friends.  I was living on the strawberry farm in Bobcaygeon, Ontario with my son, who was fourteen (14) at the time.  My daughters had left home the previous year.

When the Lord instructed me to leave Canada in late 2007, Ed and Bo wanted to meet up with me, and I with them.  We all looked forward to it.  Below is an excerpt from my testimony in my book called, “First the Inside of the Cup”, which I wrote in 2012.  It affirms Bo’s love for Y’shua (Jesus), as well as the good fruit she produced.
Ed and Bo Barton - South Carolina, USA - December 2007
It was wonderful to see them, so I grabbed the camera and they were kind enough to pose for me.  When I offered to buy lunch, they decided to take me to a Chinese buffet in the small town closest to where they lived because good food was served.

Ed took the lead and gave thanks, asking the Lord to bless the food that we were about to eat.  Beautiful!  We had a great time, talking about the Lord and all the ways He had been intervening in our lives.

It was quite refreshing, a real blessing and a great time of fellowship.  I knew that I was in the company of true brethren, saints of the most High God.  Bo wanted me to stay with them for awhile before I headed westward.  Her husband, Ed nodded in agreement, saying that they would both like that.  I loved their Southern drawls. (I love accents; different cultures; people.)

They lived in a double-wide trailer on a nice piece of property.  Although it was a trailer park, it did not seem like one, as the trailers were few in number, with each one well spread apart on a good piece of land.  They also had another trailer (a single) parked beside their home, which they used for storage.

They opened their home to me and made me feel quite welcome.  Bo had suffered years at the hands of doctors, who were always quick to operate on her.  Together, we spent time in prayer, the Word and fellowship.

The Lord does all things well.  I met some of Ed and Bo’s neighbors.  One man in particular had polyps in his throat and the doctor was concerned that they may be cancerous.  His wife asked me if I would pray.  She was a believer, but her husband was undecided about his commitment.

I knelt beside his chair to pray for him and when I arose there were tears in his eyes.  After hugs, we all left.  It would be over a year later that I would find out that the act of getting down on my knees to pray for someone I did not know meant more to the man than I ever would have imagined.

Isn't it strange that little things that we do not even consider (or even recall until reminded by someone) could mean so much to someone else? The glory to God alone! It is the precious Holy Spirit who moves and leads us. Keep that in mind the next time that you feel led by Father's Spirit to do a thing on His behalf - all in the name of LOVE (God is love).

All went well and the polyps were not cancerous.  I had intended to leave after the first week, but Ed told me that his wife had been lonely for fellowship and was enjoying my company.  The fellowship was good for me too, as it was a joy to be with like-minded believers, who were quick to pray, read the Word and to discuss things of the Lord.

Step by Step

The three of us ate Christmas dinner together, but they respected the fact that I had chosen not to celebrate the holiday.  Although they agreed with the origins being pagan, they were caught up in the tradition and the love for the season.  I know the Lord leads us all and that He would guide them, His way and in His time.

They respectfully exchanged gifts privately, whilst I went for a walk along the country roads.  I found the weather amazing as a Canadian.  To me, having no snow in December was a gift in itself!

[End of excerpt]

My stay with Bo and Ed was just shy of a month long before I had to return to Canada quite briefly to take care of an urgent matter.  The weather up north was nasty (blizzard), which greatly slowed down my travelling time.  Be that as it may, upon my return to the States about a week later, I was welcomed back with open arms and invited to stay yet awhile longer.  That is how Bo was (and Ed, as well) – always opening up their home to others.

It was pouring rain the day I had planned to leave.  Instead of the early start that I had anticipated, we had such a time in prayer and fellowship that I left much later than I had originally intended.

Bo had packed me a wonderful lunch of (“just some ‘finger food’ for the road”, she had said) delicious tuna sandwiches, pickles, cheese and crackers, fruit (sliced apples and oranges) and granola bars.  Ed had tucked a note inside the bag of food, which stated:  “God will make this trial a blessing. You’ll see.  Just keep the faith.  Ed”

So much more could be said of her faithfulness and dedication to her husband (a virtuous woman), an amazing quilt maker, a good cook, a superb hostess, humourous, delightful personality, a good heart, perfected by our heavenly Father, a woman with a green thumb, a loyal friend. She walked in love and was loved.

It was Bo who had first told me about the “snake-handling churches” of the south, back in January, 2008.  Never had I heard of such a thing before.  Her and Ed had attended such a church once, but quickly discerned that it was not of God and never returned.  We spent hours and hours over the years talking about the gospel, our Lord Y'shua (Jesus), miracles and more.  O, how she loved the Lord!

She introduced me to many things, including “grits” (a popular and common southern food of native origin – a ground corn food).  I ate it like porridge (much to the horror of a southern waitress).

Grits are not typically covered in milk and sugar, as I did.  They are flavoured with “salt an’ peppa and lotsa butta, doncha know?!”)  Well, I know now.

Warm, giving, generous, loving, prayerful, loyal, faithful to the LORD - Bo, darling Bereather, my beautiful and sweet sister Bo, true southern belle.  She fought valiantly not only in the spiritual, but in the physical, with year after year and surgery after surgery, bravely facing each battle.

Bo lost much weight over the course of the past two or three years. She fought long and hard for countless years, giving all the glory to God through Jesus Christ, a true handmaiden of our King.

Her husband, Ed, their son Jas (pronounced Jazz) and extended family (surviving sister and half brother), nephews and many others gathered in Ed and Bo's home for a memorial service (a family reunion or get-together, Bo had once stated). Her equally dedicated and faithful husband plans to sprinkle her ashes in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.  Bo wanted that - she loved those mountains.

I shall miss you greatly, my friend!

for His glory alone

Addendum:  I forgot to put a picture of the cross and the well that Bo and Ed have in their yard.  It often made me ponder.  For example, do you remember when Y'shua/Jesus spoke to the woman at the well (they who drink of Him shall never thirst - He is the Living Water)?  Or how about, "He that believes on Me, as the scripture says, out of their bellies shall flow rivers of living water. [Jn 7:38]   BP
