Though You Stand Alone, You are Spiritually Surrounded with Love

Was There Repentance?

When I read a headline that simply stated that Joni Lamb had passed away, my very first thought and reaction was: “Oh Lord, did she repent?”  There are people who say that Joni is not guilty of adultery because she was widowed. However, Doug Weiss was married approximately 30 years to his wife. He divorced her although she begged him to try reconciliation. He married Joni Lamb about a year and a half after Marcus Lamb died.

Joni had a bitter root – unforgiveness toward her son and his wife were evident. She alone was responsible to forgive Jonathan. I truly do not know if she is in heaven, as only God knows the condition of the soul.

We can only go by what scripture tells us, and our obedience to the Word. I hope Joni repented; I truly hope she did, but the fact that no one from the family called Jonathan to tell him what happened to his mother is highly suspect.

For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. [Mat 6:14-15]

According to scripture, we know that the Lord is not willing that any perish. His desire is that ALL should come to repentance, turn away from their sins, and be set free by the forgiveness of Jesus Christ and deliverance from sins. [2Pet 3:9]

We have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God [Rom 3:23], but we surely do NOT want to stay in our sins. Serious trouble occurred at Daystar TV. As a result, Joni Lamb turned her back on her only son and his wife…and the two bravely stood for truth, seemingly alone.

In those times, Yahweh gives strength to stand alone. Yet, Jonathan and Suzy were never alone, Jesus remains with them…

When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up. Teach me your way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of my enemies. [Ps 27:10, 11] NKJV

Jonathan Lamb was rejected by his mother. His loving wife, Suzy, stayed by his side. Daystar was not something I was familiar with three  years ago. In fact, I knew nothing of them.

The Devouring Lion

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whim he may devour: Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

But the God of all grace, who has called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered awhile, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, and settle you. [1Pet 5:8-10] NKJV

It was an online magazine that first introduced me to Daystar. Not having a television since 2005, and avoiding social media for several years, I had no clue who Daystar was, or who the people were that ran it.

I became much more aware of social media about five or so years ago, after some years of trying to avoid the ‘prophetic’ influencers. The Lord changed me and broadened my horizons.

The Roy’s Report (TRR) wrote a detailed report, with consistent follow-ups, about an alleged coverup of the sexual abuse of the daughter of Suzy and her husband, Jonathan Lamb (son of Marcus and Joni Lamb).

Two years have passed since TRR’s initial reports first exposed the allegations, the denials, the police interviews and much more. Daystar’s founder and Jonathan’s father, Marcus Lamb, had passed away the year before from Covid-19 complications.

Everything got very ugly. Coverup, accusations, lies, deception, betrayal, manipulation, control, and much more happened. [Read report at the link)

His mother married Doug Weiss, a friend and a psychologist.

I was not interested in watching the memorial for Joni. It reminded me of the Charlie Kirk memorial in ways. Big names in the world such as President Trump, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Prime Minister Netanyahu.

Also in attendance were well-known people in the Christian arena too, such as Paula White-Cain, Joel Osteen, Jentezen Franklin, and Jonathan Cahn

To me it seemed more like a memorial like the one for Charlie Kirk, where it was more about the man than it was for Jesus.

I will write a bit more on this later tomorrow, but for now my heart goes out to Jonathan and Suzy Lamb. False teachers, false prophets, and May the Lord strengthen them mightily in this painful season.

Reports were read. Jonathan and Suzy had great courage going to the Memorial. It must have been like sitting amongst wolves watching their every move. But the beauty of it all is, although they stood bravely amongst the many, they stood tall before their Maker.

for His glory
