Awake Awake O Sleeper

I wondered if the Lord had anything that He wanted me to say regarding the approaching year. To me, if He has me saying something or not, I am okay with it either way. Without the Lord, I know nothing of what lies ahead anyway, only what He reveals, IF He reveals. He has many vessels He uses...

In my spirit, I do know that it has been shown to me that there are some of His people who grieve Him and may not even be aware of it. 

The series, Need to Know, came from this very understanding.  The Holy Spirit revealed to me how even amongst believers, there is the longing to know the future. “People [today] need to know yesterday what tomorrow will bring.”  

“They have exchanged their daily horoscopes for a daily ‘prophetic’ word.”

This should not be. The Lord wants us to come to Him. He always has. He walked with Adam in the Garden of Eden. He responds to those who acknowledge Him as God and humbly, yet gladly bring Him into their lives.

The Lord leads us by His Word and by His Holy Spirit.  We must have a fear of the Lord in that we understand He is God, Creator of all things.  He has the power to make alive or to take breath away; power to do all things with just a word.

From the beginning, the Lord reveals things to His people, whether by His Word (His spoken Word), by His Spirit, through dreams and/or visions or through Holy Spirit-filled people, such as the prophets of old were.  He promised to direct our steps and He does.

He has often confirmed a matter with His people through another. Look when Gideon was told to battle the Midianites, Amalekites and other armies from the east, with his small army of three hundred men, and God would give the victory to Israel.

The Lord understood Gideon’s apprehension. Gideon was always looking for confirmation. He believed what God said, but he did desire confirmation to help him follow what he knew was God’s will.

If the Lord tells us something spectacular, do we not desire confirmation to encourage us to do the Lord’s will?  So the Lord told Gideon that if he was afraid to go to battle, to take his servant Purah down to the enemy’s camp. 

There he would receive confirmation, which he did when he heard one Midianite tell another a dream and the one who heard it interpreted it as ‘the sword of Gideon’.  [Judges 7 and 8]

We may go through times of silence, but that is how we learn to wait upon the Lord. He may reveal something to us regarding our future and we find it is not as immediate as we thought. Our patience is tried; our faith is tested, our love for God is proven.  All these things are not easy but they strengthen us.

This past year has been a time of testing for the majority (if not all) of God’s people; His children. Perhaps you have gone through it, or perhaps you are going through it now. You may question your sanity, your faith and your standing with God.  There is much to learning obedience through suffering as Jesus Christ did.

This coming year, there are going to be many miracles, many long awaited visions, dreams and prophetic words finally coming into fruition.  We are to guard ourselves by keeping on the full armour of God and continuing to cleave to the Lord.

We must keep on walking obediently, faithfully doing the commandments of God and holding to the testimony of Jesus. Continue to trust in God.

The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those who hope in His steadfast love. [Ps 147:11]

O that there were such a heart in them, that they would fear Me, and keep all My commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children forever!  [Deut 5:29]

So the dragon was enraged with the woman and went off to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. [Rev 12:17]

Remember that Satan will mirror (counterfeit) all that he sees God doing. Try every spirit to see if it is of God because many false prophets have gone out into the world. [1Jn 4:1]  Yet again, the Lord mentions the “clash of the kingdoms”.

This coming year not only brings blessings, but also a year of great trouble. Stay close to Christ. Seek Him for answers and to lead you. That includes leading you to a prophetic word if that is what He desires to do.  

Yet I caution (a gentle reminder) that we are not to chase after people for a prophetic word, but to run to God, who promised to pour out of His Spirit in the last days and sons and daughters will prophesy. [Act 2:17]

Allow Him to confirm a thing to you as HE chooses to do so.  Be prepared for a clash of the kingdoms. A year of miracles, but also a year of great troubles!  Stay close and hold fast to the Lord.

A Rebuke from the East

One thing I would like to add here are words from Vladimir Putin, which were translated by someone on a video of a speech Putin made regarding the West. No wonder the leaders of the West want the people to despise and hate Russia.

Below are the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin:

"A further challenge (danger) for the national Russian identity is connected to the processes we observe outside of Russia. They include foreign policy, moral and other aspects.

We see that many Euro-Atlantic (the West) states have taken the way where they deny or reject their own roots, including their Christian roots which form the basis of Western civilization.  

In these countries, the moral basis and any traditional identity are being denied – national, religious, cultural and even gender identities are being denied or relativised.

There, politics treats a family with many children as equal to a homosexual relationship (juridically); faith in God is equal to faith in Satan.  The excesses and exaggerations of political correctness in these countries indeed lead to serious consideration for the legitimization of parties that promote the propaganda of paedophilia.

The people in many European states are actually ashamed of their religious affiliations and are indeed frightened to speak about them. Christian holidays and celebrations are abolished or ‘neutrally’ renamed, as if one were ashamed of those Christian holidays. With this method one hides away the deeper moral value of these celebrations.

And these countries try to force this model onto other countries globally. I am deeply convinced that this is a direct way to the degradation and primitivization [of culture].  This leads to deeper demographic and moral crisis in the West.

What can be a better evidence for the moral crisis of a human society (in the West) than the loss of its reproductive function? And today, nearly all ‘developed’ Western countries cannot survive reproductively, not even with the help of migrants.

Without the moral values that are rooted in Christianity and other world religions, without rules and moral values which have formed and been developed over millennia, people will inevitably lose their human dignity (becoming brutes).

And we think it is right and natural to defend and preserve these moral (Christian) values. One has to respect the right of every minority to self-determination, but at the same time there cannot and must not be any doubt about the rights of the majority.

At the same times as this process at a national level (in the West), we observe on an international level the attempts to create a unipolar, unified model of the world, to relativise and remove institutions of international right and national  sovereignty (Putin speaks about the US-Imperium).

In such a unipolar, unified world, there is no place for sovereign states. Such a world needs merely vassals.  From a historical perspective, such a unipolar world (of the USA) would mean the surrender of one’s own identity and of God-created diversity."

In reality, most countries are hacking into systems. Call it modern-day espionage. Spies and spying have been a reality from the beginning. Think about when Moses sent 12 spies into the Promised Land to see what the land offered and what kind of people resided there. Joshua and Caleb were two of the spies sent out from amongst the twelve tribes of Israel.

How about when two Israelite spies spoke with Rahab in Jericho before Joshua and Israel attacked the city?  Yes, spies have been around probably as long as prostitutes.

First Russia is accused of hacking into the electoral system, and now the Chinese are being accused of hacking as well.

Now it begins, the Lord said in 2008 when Obama was elected. Now it continues to escalate (build momentum).

The Clash of the Kingdoms - Escalates

Indeed, things are escalating. Christians praying over leaders and now shamans and others openly doing rituals to "invoke spirits" over the same world leaders. A clash of the kingdoms indeed!  Nevertheless, Sovereign God's will be done.

Peruvian shamans are holding public rituals to invoke the “spirits” and soften the hearts of world political leaders, particularly United States president-elect Donald Trump and Russian president Vladimir Putin.  Call it as you will; this is witchcraft.

Then, we have the Sanhedrin in Israel, who have now asked President Putin and president-elect Donald Trump to build the third temple in Jerusalem.
