The LORD is
my strength and song, and He is become my salvation: He is my God, and I will prepare Him an habitation; my father's
God, and I will exalt Him. The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is His name. [Ex 15:2, 3]
Greater love hath no
man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. [Jn
15:13]
There is so
much I long to share that I barely know where to start. I have
a message that is burning deep within me, and intensifies the more I am in
prayer. It will not be any new
revelation or message and undoubtedly, vessels far more worthy have been chosen
by the LORD to speak it forth before me (whether in part or in whole).
Be that as
it may, there is a reason He made me a living example of the message that I
plan to pour out from my heart’s core. We are all living examples, are we not? Ah, but will our example be unto His honour and
glory or unto our own glory which would ultimately be to our shame?
Jesus Christ (my Y’shua Ha’Mashiach) – glorious Saviour – who came in the flesh and
comes in the flesh when we turn from our sinful (wicked) ways (genuine
repentance) and surrender all to Him.
Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit
that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every
spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God:
and this is that spirit of
antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is
it in the world. [1 Jn 4:2,3]
Step
by step, from glory to glory…
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit
of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open
face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same
image from glory to glory, even
as by the Spirit of the Lord. [2Cor 3:17, 18]
Yes and
when we surrender to His will, we must trust Him in all the ways
He leads and in all that He allows, even when we do not understand at the time
(or even if we never understand in this life).
No one is saying it is easy.
Flesh and
every enemy of the cross will fight us, but it is the only way to stay upon the
narrow path and enter in through the strait gate.
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of
God, and ye are not your own?
[1Cor 6:19]
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to
destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Because strait is the
gate, and narrow is the way,
which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. [Mat 7:13, 14 – words of Jesus/Y’shua]
Though I
would never have chosen to stay in homeless shelters for what seemed like a
very long four and a half months (four months, nine days), I now understand and
am so grateful to our Sovereign God – astounding in wisdom, overwhelming in love
and ways, trustworthy and honourable in His moulding (shaping, engraving),
correction and discipline (preparation).
Brilliant
(magnificent) and majestic (exalted) King and Lord Jesus. So great is His mercy and grace that the true disciples
that love Him only become more desperate to go deeper in Him, to abide in Him as
He also abides in them.
We love Him because He
first loved us. [1Jn 4:19]
How great
is your love for Him? How sincere, how
loyal, how faithful – how desperate are you really for Him? When He draws you unto Himself (woos you), do
you find that you cannot resist His lovingkindness? Have you gone beyond lip service and walk in
heart service? Ponder carefully – allow His
precious Spirit to search deep within?
He (Jesus) answered and said unto them, Well has Esaias (Isaiah)
prophesied
of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far
from Me. [Mk 7:6]
Great is
His love – it is not His desire that any should perish, but that all come to
repentance. [2Pet 3:9] Do you seek truth, I mean really seek truth,
including the truth He reveals about uncleanness, sinfulness or wrongdoing
(even unforgiveness) hidden deep within us?
It won’t be pretty, but it is all part of the purifying and
sanctification (purging).
Those who
seek truth will respond to His revealing with genuine repentance and
surrender. If He reveals any idol in
your heart (even if you did not realize it was an idol), are you willing to destroy
it, repent and love the One True God with all your heart, all your soul, all
your might and serve only Him?
When we
surrender (sometimes step by trembling step), there is a persistent and
unyielding (unwavering) hope in Him, a willingness to pick up the cross daily
(even at the risk of stumbling as onlookers observe), to be purged (cleansed, purified)
and made holy (set apart, God-fearing, consecrated) as He is holy, clothed in His
pure and lovely righteousness – desiring to walk the ancient paths, the highway
of holiness.
And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be
called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it;
but it shall be for those: the
wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found
there; but the redeemed shall walk there:
[Isaiah 35:8]
The
precious blood of Jesus (Y’shua) is the seal of the new covenant God
made with us. Christ is the only way back
to our Creator – through Him is forgiveness and His mercy endures
forever to those who cry out, believing and receiving His grace. So great is the love of God that Jesus became
a living sacrifice, without spot or blemish – the perfect Lamb.
But as many as received Him, to
them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His
name: [Jn 1:12]
One Journey Ends – Another Begins
About four weeks ago, the LORD provided
a room for me to rent, thus putting an end to the long journey from
Georgia. I understand that it is a
stepping stone, a temporary abode or lodging, but I am so happy, so grateful to
finally be out of the shelters.
It was only at the end of that journey
that the Lord really began to give me understanding. What an amazing journey! I will not pretend it was easy or even that I
did not desire deliverance from the situation in overwhelming times.
Aching bones and a pained body from the
six days of travelling by bus was only the beginning, as the entire four and a
half months of homelessness I fought pneumonia, even up to two weeks after
securing and living in the rented room.
How grateful I am to be healed, yet it
is a recuperation time I reckon, as there have been certain days that I rest
nearly the entire day and night. It is
my hope to have all emails answered in the next day or two. Thank you all for your prayers, support, encouragement,
but mostly your prayers – which are as liquid gold to me, most precious and of
greatest value.
It was only during this past week that
another renter got wireless internet and generously allows me to use it at no
charge. Praise God!
It has also been a time of much deep prayer
and waiting on the Lord. I had planned to do a radio program, but it has been
impressed upon me that it will be a small series. We are in a serious and crucial time in
history.
The LORD is speaking through many
vessels; howbeit, the long months of homelessness, which I did not understand
fully at the time now makes perfect sense.
Our King and Lord is speaking – have ears to hear and eyes to see.
For in
those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the
creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.
And except that the Lord had shortened those
days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen,
he hath shortened the days. [Mk
13:19, 20 – words of Jesus/Y’shua]
And they that be wise shall shine as the
brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the
stars for ever and ever.
But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal
the book, even to the time of
the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. [Dan 12:3, 4]
We see prophecies fulfilled and being fulfilled at
a bewildering pace and amazing accuracy, but we should not be concerned with “how long do we have”, but more concerned
with getting our house (hearts) in order, so that we can stand clothed in the
righteousness of Christ before a holy God.
Remember, all ten virgins awaited the Bridegroom,
but only five were wise – the others slept.
Remember the apostles at the Garden of Gethsemane; they fell asleep
instead of praying, unaware that the Lord would soon be arrested and put to
death.
Let us not be found sleeping! Let us not ignore the message that He is
uttering through whomsoever He chooses. Let
us not resist what He is revealing in us or fear the work He is doing in us at
this time (yes, all of us – be aware!)
Rather fear God and truly mean it when you say: “…Thy will be done”
(obedience).
For we know Him that has said, Vengeance belongs unto Me, I will recompense,
saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge His people.
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the
living God.
For the time is come that judgment
must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the
end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? [Heb 10:30, 31 – 1Pet 4:17]
I will be sending out the links to the radio
series next week, as led. If you are not
on the mailing list and would like to receive the links, please email me at the
address below.
Great is His love!
I will worship toward Thy holy temple, and praise
Thy name for Thy lovingkindness and for Thy truth: for You
have magnified Thy word above all Thy name.
And the Word
(Jesus/Y’shua) became flesh, and dwelt
among us (and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from
the Father), full of grace and truth. [Ps 138:2 – Jn 1:14]
for His glory alone
