A Call to Fast and Pray

Fast and Pray

Sept 23, 2011 - [09.23.2011] 11:11 AM

There are many (countless) who have been in a fast corporately; some are just coming out of one, some are part way through.

Last week, I fasted 2 days, but the beginning of this week, I fasted another 2 days, refreshing myself last night with a meal.
However, I feel led to ask others to join in on a fast, for however long the LORD leads you to.

If you have been sensing that you should fast, but have been uncertain, then this would be confirmation.  I am being led into a fast and my focus is for the date 11.11.11.  At this time, I am uncertain why, but I do know that when many were saying that 9.11.2011 (September 11, 2011) was a day that was going to see an attack, I prayed and on September 6, 2011, the Lord told me that there would NOT be an attack on that day, but SOON AFTER.

Now, with the Lord, I am never certain what 'soon' is... as His thoughts are not our thoughts nor are His ways our ways because He is not limited by time and space.
The Lord has NEVER given me a date on anything, ever...except to tell me that 9.11 (10th anniversary) would NOT see an attack.  You will see I blogged it, after a great hassle trying to simply get it posted, but I had told 3 people by September 10th what the Lord (alone) said.

NONE of us know anything without the Lord...unless there is a spirit of divination.  God forbid!

I am asking anyone who has been led to fast, to join me in PRAYING on a fast.  NO fast should be without prayer (see the bible for examples...no fast was without prayer or seeking God)

Fast IF led and pray AS led.  We need to allow the LORD to lead us; we need to know what He wants us to do and what to expect.  Pray for the Body of Christ and for the salvation of the lost, as well as deliverance, healing and restoration for ALL...to the glory of God!

Selah

And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.  [2 Chron 20:3]

Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river of Ahava, that we might afflict ourselves before our God, to seek of him a right way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our substance.  [Ezra 8:21]

We need NOT fear!  No, not at all and we must not fear.  There is no need to fear.  Would you read Isaiah 58 below along with me?  Truly, let us stay in right standing with the Lord; repent of anything that needs repenting of.  Then let us come together as ONE (unity) in the Spirit and in the LORD, and fast and pray for our nations (Canada, USA, Mexico) (and all nations of the world).

The Body of Christ is scattered throughout all the nations of the earth; we must know and believe this because it is true.  Lord bless all the members of the Body of Christ (Bride) and hear our cries and prayers as we come together as one, for we KNOW the times we are in.  Thank You Abba; thank You Y'shua/Jesus.
Be glorified Lord; we exalt thee.

Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?

Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.

Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;

And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:

And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.  [Isaiah 58: 5-12]
